"Algomovement 2 and Algomovement 3 belong to a recent series of works that continue Barnard’s practice of exploring encounters between sound cultures and visualization. These particular works use physical traces of human activity (such as mark making) transformed through an algorithmic process and are super imposed onto a music sheet. The end result creates a visual metaphor that is analogous to the concept of noise and its ability to spread and contaminate in different ways."
